What is FOCUSING?

FOCUSING is a simple and effective way of listening and attending to yourself and others that harnesses the body’s natural intelligence. 

It offers us a way to deepen our understanding, expand our experience, and develop healthy relationships with ourselves.  

Focusing allows us to find new solutions and fresh action steps in any situation.

 

The key to Focusing is in our felt sense and awareness held in our bodies as a whole, rather than our rational thoughts.

We contain many memories, experiences and knowledge in our bodies and senses and focusing is a means of accessing

aspects of ourselves otherwise hidden or at least in the background.

 

The process involves helping you to learn to access and listen to what is in your body and senses through a series of steps developed by E. T. Gendlin
